Through 71 years and three generations, we have stayed true to our promises, delivering super workmanship on every job and maintaining super service as our top priority. Our “limp in, leap out” service is well-known throughout Connecticut for quick turn-around repairs and quality work.
In 1955 the business was growing and Paul Sr. needed to expand. To his delight, son Paul Jr. joined the business that year and his brother-in-law, Roland LePage joined the business in 1956, bringing the company business into its third year expansion.
In the late 70's Paul Jr. found himself needing to expand the growing business once again. Like his father, Paul Jr. wanted to bring his sons into the business to help with the expansion. In 1978 son Michael entered the business and then in 1981 son Daniel joined the company, keeping it all in the family.
To this day, family members remain involved in all aspects of the business, from repairs to invoicing. It’s this dedication and integrity that has kept our company’s workforce and customer base loyal for so many years!
Our History
In 1945, Paul Maznicki, Sr. opened his own welding shop at 767 Windsor St. in an industrial area not far from the center of Hartford, CT. Seeing as the war was over and there were many vehicles that needed fixing, he seized the opportunity to go into business. When naming his new business, he thought to himself that the name should surely include the word “super” to stand for excellence, exceptional standards, and an ability to exceed customers’ expectations.
Today, Super Welding has become Super Spring & Brake Co. Inc. and our original two-car garage workshop has expanded to 10,000 sq. ft. at the same location. We continue to provide top-quality suspension and brake repair services for all kinds of vehicles, including cars, buses, trailers, utility trucks, snow plows, and more.
